Recruitment, and Big Little Outfit Inspo

If you're a new member of a Greek life organization and are as worried as I was going into my first-ever experience with what to wear for recruitment, then don't fear! I am here to help.

Philanthropy round is often easy to plan for. Your recruitment chair and committee should provide you with a lookbook going into recruitment. It comes in handy when you try to find things to wear. For us, we had a shirt provided for us. So I searched and messed around with what would look best with what I was given. Often, a timeless and easy look is jeans and a pair of CLEAN white shoes.

And it's also so fun to see how everyone else styles the same thing you are given! Here is how my sorority family looked on the first day of recruitment!

Sisterhood is supposed to be more classy. For us, our lookbook stated we had to wear black and white. Similarly, it was so fun to see what everyone wore and how they interpreted the theme themselves. For me, I went with a white dress and black heels so I had a mix of both.

Everyone went for a different vibe and what made them feel the most confident! Here's me, my gbig, and my big!

The preference round, or 'pref', is known as the ritual ceremony round. Many sororities take this time for the PNM to see what the dynamic is as a whole, and let the PNM have the last day to decide if they would like to be a part of it. Because it is a ritual ceremony, you as an active member should refrain from wearing strapless or spaghetti-strap dresses. The general rule of thumb is to wear 2+ finger-width straps. My sorority had us in all black, which is so classy!

And of course, the burnout of recruitment is REAL! Make sure to take care of yourself, your mind, and your body every day!

And then bid day is the day you do ALL

of this hard work. At the time of making these graphics, my mind had changed after wearing heels ALL week, so I ended up switching my heels out for boots. But Bid Day is the most fun because you see the theme everyone decided to go for.

For us, we did a vouge/NYC theme, and was so fun!

And then a big little reveal came around. I found my match. But I wanted to do a theme that was perfect for both of us. We both love music, and so I went with a Hannah Montana theme!
